Robert Rettke Sr.

Robert "Bob" Rettke Sr., 80, of Rancho Cucamonga died Nov. 9, 2004 at his home in Rancho Cuca monga. He was born December 31, 1923 in Tacoma, Washington and a resident in the Inland Valley for 35 years. He was manager of Kerr Hardware, 1951-1959 before retiring. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Robert was a member of the Elks Lodge- Past exalted Ruler, 1957 and 1958. Life member since 1993. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8680 of Rancho Cucamonga, CA American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances in 1997; son, James Quinn; brother, Tyke of Brookings. He is sur vived by his daughter, Janet Fanger of Alpine, Oregon and Karen Rae of Junction City, Oregon; sons, Robert "Rob" Rettke Jr. of Rialto, CA, Ronald Rettke of Sweethome, Oregon and Gerald Rettke of McMinville, Oregon; brother, Gomer Rettke of Brookings, Oregon; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Memorial serice will be held noon, Saturday, Nov. 20 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8680 of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Private burial at Restlawn Memorial Park, Junction City Oregon.
