RONNIE PALLARES Obituary

Pallares, age 19. Better known as "Pumpkin" by all those that loved him, went home to be with our Lord on October 23, 2010. Ronnie was born October 28, 1990 in Pomona, CA and lived in Rancho Cucamonga all his life. "Pumpkin" graduated from Alta Loma High School in 2008 and had already enlisted into the Army. Pumpkin is survived by his mother, Brenda Pallares, brothers Danny Ray Aguayo, John Albert Garcia and Roland Garcia, sisters Priscilla Garcia and Alexandra Garcia and grandparents Richard and Lucy Pallares, Uncle Richard Pallares, wife Cristal (Kandice, Khristian, Isabella) Uncle Vincent Pallares (Sarah). Aunt Elaine Pallares (Nina, Adrianna, Andrew) Ronnie's Fiance Vanessa Jauregui, great-grand parents, Cheti and Lupe Pallares. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Ronnie loved sports and played football at CMS and received the 8th grade Football Award. He also played baseball with Citrus Little League beginning with T-ball and ended on the "Senior Division All Star Team" Ronnie loved music, "It's all about the lyrics." he would say. He would also love playing his guitar, go to Six Flags and to the beach. Everywhere Pumpkin went and everyone he met, he had a smile for them. Pumpkin would talk to and make friends with everyone he encountered. He was always concerned for the needs of others and always willing to help. His "smile" will be deeply missed. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 4-5PM, Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 at 10AM. Both at Abundant Living Family Church, 10900 Civic Center Dr., Rancho Cucamonga. Military honors and interment will follow church services Wednesday, November 3, at 1:30PM. Staging Area #9, Riverside National Cemetery. Lada's Cucamonga Mortuary is entrusted with arrangements.

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Ronnie J. Pallares

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.

Dear Pallares family,

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Ronnie will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

To Ronnie and his family. I seen your flag covered with flowers and candles and my heart immediately wept for your loss. I also have two flags up in honor of my brothers. One on Baseline and Haven and sadly the other "In Memory Of" in front of the courthouse on Haven. One brother made it home safely the other didn't.

I parked my car to the side as I watched your procession this afternoon and it brought back all the sadness I felt for my brother. Just know that time does not heal all but speaking and telling stories about him does make it a little easier. His memory will never die it will live on through all your stories.

May God Bless You All.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to SPC. Ronnie Pallares our Brother-in-Arms . To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Ronnie. And to Ronnie it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Ronnie, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,335 military Legionnaire Veterans of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Ronnie’s family and loved ones.
