Shirley Kegans Obituary
passed away on July 16, 2014 following a brief illness. Shirley was born on June 12, 1926 in Cairo, Illinois, and shortly thereafter moved to Pomona, California. Shirley married her High School sweetheart, Wayne L. Kegans, and they were married for 64 years. Wayne and Shirley moved to Claremont in 1951 and together they had 3 children, Kim Smith (husband Deke), Mark Kegans (wife Kimberly) and Scott Kegans (wife Terri). Shirley was "Memoo" to 10 grandchildren; Chad, Nick, Kylie, Reese, Hayden, Madisen, Dylan, Katie, Nick, Audrey and 4 great-grandchildren; Luke, Lanxton, Sophia and Trey. Shirley's joyful spirit touched the lives of all the people she met. A celebration of her life is being held at the Pomona First Baptist Church on June 12th at 2:00 PM where she was a member for over 50 years
