ADRIAN CRUZ Obituary

Adrian Cruz, 59, of Westmorland entered this world on August 2, 1962. He passed away on March 26, 2022. The youngest of nine, he loved music; oldies, r&b, country and mariachi music was the soundtrack of his life as he puttered with his many pet projects or worked on the lawn. He was a generous soul who constantly gifted family with pens he thought they were cool, an ice cold mug root beer on a hot day or something he had been working on.
Adrian had a childlike joy when it came to planning family activites; he would plan weeks in advance for haunted houses at Halloween and Easter egg hunts that unfortunately ended with plastic eggs filled with melted chocolate thanks to the heat. Adrian had endless patience when it came to answering questions. It wasn't unusual to see him trailed by a niece or nephew as he worked to piece together a bike or to see them bent over the hood of his old truck poking around the engine. Questions about coloring inside the lines were answered with the same seriousness as questions about carburetors.
Adrian loved his family and wasn't shy about letting them know it. He would make a point to hug and say, "love you," before he headed out to spend time with his friend, Victoria and her sons or just out doing all the little things that make up a day. Adrian's presence will be greatly missed.
Adrian was preceded to grace by his beloved parents, Carolina and Galdino Cruz; nephew, Joseph Nunemacher.
He is survived by his children, Adrian and Adriana; siblings, Raquel, Manuel, Maria Elena, Galdino Jr, Sergio, Consuelo, Joel and Timoteo as well his three grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held on April 22, 2022 at 8am at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley. Burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
