ALBERT SANCHEZ Obituary
Albert Sanchez, 83 of Imperial, CA passed away peacefully on April 12, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Born December 8, 1933 in Heber, CA., to Pete and Lupe Sanchez. He grew up in Imperial and attended Imperial Schools. He met the love of his life, Geraldine Garcia and married her September 24, 1955. Albert worked for Desert Seed Co. for 32 years, until it closed its doors. He landed a job at Val Rock where he worked a couple of years then later started working for Imperial School District as a School Bus Driver, a job he enjoyed, until he retired. He loved and was loved by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pete Sanchez Jr.; son-in-laws, Jaime Obeso and Steve Zarate. Albert is survived by his wife of 61 years Geraldine (Gerrie) Sanchez; daughters, Patricia (Jorge) Grijalva, Maria Obeso, Julie (Jeff) Turner and son, Pastor Albert (Susan) Sanchez; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, 2 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great-nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at Imperial Community Church, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10 a.m.
