Anna Pearl Pierce, 85, of Imperial passed away on March 1, 2022 of natural causes. She was born on December 14, 1936 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Anna was a proud Choctaw Nation Tribal member and loved researching family history. Anna was creative and talented at many crafts, she taught herself how to crochet, making blankets, clothes, place mats, etc. She worked as a cosmetologist and in the early 80's helped pioneer home based businesses in Imperial when she became a business owner and built Ann's Beauty Salon in her home. Prior to becoming a cosmetologist, she worked as a waitress at Thrifty's in store cafe where she met the love of her life, Fred. They married July 26, 1968, bought a home and moved to Imperial in 1973 where they raised their daughters and lived out their lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddy Joe Pierce; grandson, Justin Casey Peraza; mother, Johnnie Lou Smith; father, Samuel Holt Eeds; sister, Saundra Kay Ballas; brother, Richard Lynn Smith.
Anna is survived by her three daughters, Deiona (Hector) Solares, Michelle (John) Lydick, and Brenda Kay Pierce; great God children, several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be officiated by Rev. Darrell Maston and will be held on April 29, 2022 at 11 am at Brawley Western Baptist Church.
