CARL MCELVANY Obituary
Carl Richard McElvany Jr. passed away on October 18, 2015 at the young age of 54. He was preceded in death by his mother, Saundria McElvany. After graduating from Central Union High School, Carl enlisted in the Air Force. He was a Journeyman Electrician by trade and was a long time member of the American Legion, Post 25 in El Centro. He will be remembered for his love of sports (Chargers, USC), hunting and especially family. Carl has left a void in many lives and will be missed tremendously. He is survived by his father, Carl R. McElvany Sr. (Mama Marge); sons, Carl R. McElvany III (Beatriz), Alexis L. McElvany (Renny), honorary son Todd McCann; granddaughters, Abaigael and Alannah McElvany; sisters, Debbie McElvany-Ollis, Lisa McElvany-Heimann and Michelle Jorgensen; his loving fianc Sonia Lopez and various nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will continue to cherish the time we had with him. Carl accepted Christ over 20 years ago and rededicated himself months before his passing, so we can rest assured he is in a better place. Services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA on November 4, 2015 at 12 p.m.
