Carlos Raul Gastelum passed away September 6, 2008 of pneumonia at the hospital in Albuquerque, NM with his loving family at his side.
Carlos Raul was born August 9, 1929 in Calexico, CA to Trinidad and Carlos Gastelum Sr. He was the second of four brothers and one sister. Brothers Rodolfo and Carlos Jr. preceded him.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane of Belen, NM; step daughter, Monica nd husband, Gabriel Ortiz and their daughter, Danielle of Santa Fe, NM; brother, Pablo and wife, Mary Lou Gastelum of San Diego; sister, Connie and husband, Adam Pina of Calexico; sister-in-law, Alice Gastelum of El Centro and numerous nieces and nephews.
