CLAUDIA RAMIREZ Obituary

CLAUDIA MARIE

JAUREGUI RAMIREZ

Oct. 8, 1986 July 7, 2023

Claudia Marie Jauregui Ramirez was born in El Centro, CA on October 8, 1986 to Norma and Julio Jauregui and entered into rest on July 7, 2023. Claudia was raised in Brawley, CA and as a little girl was easily recognizable with her distinctively thick, curly brown hair. As a child, she took an immediate liking to cheerleading and participated in the sport throughout her youth with Pop Warner, including her high school years as a Wildcat until she graduated from BUHS Class of 2004. Claudia left her hometown that fall and moved to San Diego County to attend Cal State San Marcos and ultimately earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Phoenix in June 2012. While attending college, Claudia was hired by Kaiser Permanente and would secure a lifelong career with the healthcare corporation as a Senior Analyst Consultant.

In September 2017, Claudia was diagnosed with cancer and the beginning of her courageous battle began. Claudia was relentless and went above and beyond to utilize all available resources and became a part of various support and research groups with the same goal in mind - a cure for Ovarian cancer. Most significantly, she worked very closely with the Clearity Foundation to fight this disease head on.

In 2018, she reconnected with her childhood sweetheart, John Michael Ramirez and they married in October 2021. The two were initially acquainted in the fourth grade and remained best friends throughout junior high and high school.

Aside from her family, Claudia had her besties and Kaiser colleagues she would often travel with, attend concerts, baseball and football games and enjoy the occasional bar hop around Pacific Beach. She enjoyed traveling all over the U.S. and abroad to Mexico and Europe. Claudia was a bona fide Raiders fan. On game day she was always clad with the silver and black, delighted and stressed at the same time while sharing memes with friends and family awaiting the inevitable loss or victory. Her nieces and nephews meant the world to her and she absolutely adored her two dachshunds Miley and Raider. Claudia had no choice but to love music as she was surrounded by a family of musicians her entire life exposing her to almost every genre. Her absolute favorite were The Backstreet Boys.

Claudia - lover of life, stubborn, vocal, resolute, funny, voluptuous, dancer, beautiful, passionate, coordinator, camera-ready, party animal, companion, giver, leader, adventurer, courageous, strong - a fighter.

Claudia is survived by her spouse John Michael Ramirez; stepson Isiah Ramirez; father and mother, Julio and Norma Jauregui; siblings, Xavier Mendez, Melissa Jauregui, Anthony Jauregui and sister-in-law, Jina Jauregui, and Jesse Jauregui; father-in-law, Juan Ramirez; mother-in-law, Mary Ponce; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services for Claudia will be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 S. Cesar Chavez St., in Brawley on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Rosary will commence at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m.

A celebration of life will immediately follow at Stockmen's Club of Imperial Valley, 275 Marjorie Ave., in Brawley.
