DOLORES "DOÑA TERE" TERESA OBESO

Dec. 22, 1926 - Mar. 5, 2008


Dolores Obeso, 81, of El Centro passed away of natural causes Wednesday, March 5 at El Centro Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 22, 1926 in Tucson, AZ and later married Edrulfo Obeso on November 8, 1963 in Yuma, AZ. Dolores worked throughout El Centro in various restaurants and loved to dance and socialize with family.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Mass will commence at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in El Centro. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edrulfo Obeso; brothers, Beto Apalategui, Francisco Apalategui, Lupe Silvas, Miguel Apalategui and grandson, Frankie Alcaraz.
Dolores is survived by her sister, Alicia Apalategui Soto; daughter, Dubie Torrez of Imperial; sons, Rudy Alcaraz of Fresno, CA, Tony Alcaraz, George Alcaraz and Art Lizarraga, all of El Centro; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Dubie, so sorry to hear about your mom. I will always remember the funny things she did and said. Always in the Kitchen with her apron on cooking or washing dishes,telling us to get out of her way. But now she dancing away watching over all of us.
