Felipe G. Orozco, age 66, passed away on August 31, 2025, surrounded by his family at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California. Born on August 30, 1959, in Casa Grande, Arizona. Felipe dedicated much of his life to agricultural work, beginning at the young age of 16 alongside his father. His career spanned over two decades with Abatti Produce in El Centro and later with Highline Cooling in Holtville, from where he retired in 2023.

Felipe was a man known for his strong work ethic and his readiness to lend a helping hand. He cherished his role as Tata, a name he wore with pride and a role he lived with endless love and devotion. His passion for collecting and restoring classic cars and his unwavering support for the Raiders were among his favorite pastimes, though nothing compared to the joy he found in spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Lucy Orozco; his daughters, Margie (Jose) Lopez and Josie (Antonio) Camacho; his son, Sito (Fernanda) Orozco; and his beloved grandchildren, Angel, Jayla, Antonio, Joseph, Nathan, Ethan, Hayden, and Shelby. Felipe is also survived by his sister, Josefina Sanchez, brother, Armando Orozco, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Guadalupe Orozco, and siblings, Antonio, Adolfo, Carlos, Jose, Elisa, and Ofelia.

Felipe's life will be honored with a viewing on September 16, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in El Centro, followed by a mass. His body will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
