Francisca G. Garcia "Panchita, " 98, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024, in El Centro, CA, from natural causes. Panchita was born on August 24, 1925, in Zacatecas, Mexico, to Ysabel Gomez. Panchita married Frank A. Garcia on May 22, 1948, a United States Army Soldier following World War II from Arizona. Panchita and Frank had five children, which they raised in the Imperial Valley.
Panchita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dearly loved her family, pets, cooking, and gardening.
Panchita was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Ysabel Gomez; husband, Frank A. Garcia. Survived by her children, Delia Garcia, Richard (Angelina) Garcia, Norma Garcia, Olivia (David) Salgado, Sandra (Ricardo) Miramontes; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 9 to 11:45 a.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary, 1975 South 4th Street, El Centro, CA. Burial to follow at Mount View Cemetery in Calexico, 895 Sacroni Road.

Dearest familia Garcia, please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your (and ours) Mama Panchita. The attached photos are from Giles Avenue; one in 1956 and other in 1968. The first shows Mama Elena with Francisco, Elena, Rafael and Ynes. The other photo shows Vicente and Rafael. She will be with them, now. Your mom was the very best (other than ours) of the whole block on Giles Avenue. We love her very much and wish peace upon you. See you at the service on Friday.
