FREDERICK BRYANT Obituary
June 20, 1946 – Feb. 27, 2025
Elder Frederick James Bryant was born June 20, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward James and Marion Virginia Talley- Bryant. Frederick Bryant attended John Adams High School in Cleaveland, Ohio.
Following graduation from high school, he joined the United States Air Force for 8 years. After his service in the Air Force, he was employed by the Greyhound Lines in Cleaveland, Ohio and Phoenix, AZ; as a bus driver.
In 1980, he came to Imperial Valley and met the love of his life; Gloria Bryant, who was joined together in holy matrimony for 44 years. Frederick was later employed by Imperial County Social Service Dept. for 20 years in the Child Support Dept., where he retired in 2009. Frederick Bryant had a love for coaching and umpiring girl's softball, where his granddaughter, Ayla, excelled.
Frederick was also a longtime member of the Spartan Athletic Club for 14 years. In 2009, Frederick Bryant was united with One Way Sanctified Holiness Church, where he served as an ordained Elder and Assistant Pastor.
He also served as an Adult Sunday School and Bible Study teacher. Frederick was an active member of the Blue Knights, California 10, and ABATE 8 Motorcycle Clubs. He also served as Chaplin of the Blue Knights.
Frederick James Bryant is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gloria Bryant; children, Andres Raphael (Mary), Esther Marie Sanchez, Cheri Lynne Almeda, Darneal James Bryant (Angela), and Michaela V. Bryant; 22 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memories, One Way Sanctified Holiness Church family.
The service will be held on March 29, 2025, at 10 a,m. at First Baptist Church, 724 W. Orange Ave., El Centro, CA. Elder Roy Gaffney will officiate the service.

So sorry to learn of Fred's passing. I knew him from his Greyhound years, and then we both went to work for the county. He always had a smile and a kind word for anyone that crossed his path. He lived a good life, and will be missed by many. Prayers to his long time wife, Gloria.
