Thanks to the Lord, Guillermo O. Barraza, 78, has transitioned to reside in Heaven on July 23, 2024. Born on March 10, 1946, in Sinaloa, Mexico (Juan Barraza Leon, Primitiva Ojeda Leon). He was the youngest of 12 siblings: Angelina, Demetria, Adelina, Ramona, Belen, Martina, Maria, Andres, Lucas, Preocopio, Guillermo, and Silvano Barraza, who passed away at birth.
On April 27, 1973, he married Patricia Pacrem, who passed away on December 4, 2021. They have a wonderful daughter, Veronica Barraza.
Throughout Guillermo's life, he worked in many agricultural occupations in the Imperial Valley and further north. He was a Ceasar Chaves advocate and leader during his years of working in the Melon crop. Later in life, he worked as a laborer for Eagle A. Construction and other companies that helped expand the Imperial Valley.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His passions included family, travel, fishing, listening to music, dancing, gardening, and cooking.
Guillermo was fighting cancer for the last few years of his life. He did it with resilience and bravery. Disregarding his health challenges, he made the best of life by traveling to see his sister, spending time in the garden, and listening to music and talking to friends and family.
Services will be held on August 7, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary, 1975 S. Fourth Street in El Centro. Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA. Resting in Peace.

Memo I'm going to miss you and all of your "power" that gave us all strength whenever we needed it. You have gone to heaven to be with the rest of the family who have passed and mostly to the one you loved with all your heart. Im sure Patricia was there waiting for you with open arms when you transitioned to heaven. God bless you Memo.

I always remember Memo outside watering and driving to 7-11. Didn´t matter how hot it got I would always see him outside, he was never too busy to talk.
He was a good friend to my mother.
