Jack Nale, 78, died on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Baker City, Oregon. A private family memorial service was held Saturday, April 4, 2009.
Jack Nale, Jr. was born on October 31, 1930 in a tent near Tulsa, Oklahoma on the lands of the Cherokee Nation. During the beginnings of the Great Depression, Jack and his family moved to the Imperial Valley in California. Jack attended the Silsbee and McCabe grade schools and Central Union High.
Jack married his one true love, Margaret (Midge) McNulty on June 19, 1948. Jack met Midge while attending high school. Jack's custom hay operation eventually evolved into Jack Nale Jr. and Son; where both father and son farmed and put up hay in the Imperial Valley.
In 1972, Jack and Midge relocated from Southern California to Oregon. In Eagle Valley, Jack and Midge owned and operated the Hitching Post Grocery and Motel as well as Limousin Cattle Ranch. Jack was a believer in the Lord and served as a minister for the Full Assembly of God in both California and Richland.
Jack is survived by his wife, Margaret Nale of Richland, Oregon; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Joe Cunha of Pendleton, Oregon; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Nancy Nale of Imperial; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Theron Hampton of Richland, Oregon; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Robinson and Shirley and husband, Don Ware, both of Missouri; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Peggy Nale of Poplarville, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Nora Cusic of Florence, Oregon and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by parents, Jack Nale Sr. and Lily Novean Nale; brothers, Thomas Nale and Leroy Nale; brother-in-law, Monroe Robinson and grandson, Joe Nale, Jr.

Margaret & children - I was scanning the obituaries in El Centro and saw where Jack had passed away. Margaret I don't know if you remember me but we worked together at the IV Bowling Alley in El Centro. My husband Charles & our children moved from El Centro in 1968 to Illinois, he passed away in 1978, my children grew up and left Illinois for Georgia so here I am in Gainesville, GA.
