JOHN PREECE Obituary

JOHN LEE PREECE

Sept. 23, 1934 – June 19, 2025

We are saddened at the passing of our beloved Father Johnny Lee Preece, who went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2025, after suffering a brief illness. He was an avid Bible reader and member at New Destiny church in El Centro for 43 years; where he held the office of a Deacon. Before retiring he was a rancher and farmer for 50 years: 20 of those years he spent employed as a Ranch Foreman where he was highly respected by his employees. He leaves behind 3 surviving children whom he loved very much: Darrell Preece; Terry Weinbaum and David Preece.

Services will be at New Destiny Church on July 10, 2025, at 9 a.m. followed by internment at Evergreen Cemetery. Any flowers can be delivered to New Destiny Church.

He will truly be missed by his surviving brothers, sisters, children, his grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.

John was a strong believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. He made most conversations about our Great King of Glory. In Mal. 3:16 the Lord says a book of remembrance for these conversations are all recorded in our honor when we speak about the Lord one to another. I know John's book will be the largest in heavens library. He will be deeply missed. This world is missing a great light with him gone. I'm grateful to know one day I will see him again. Peace and healing to the family and friends who feel the sting of his death. The Lord comfort us all. In Jesus name. Amen. You will be very missed Brother John
