JON A. HILL
Sep. 11, 1953 - Apr. 4, 2012
Jon A. Hill was needed in Heaven and missed on Earth. The Lord took Jon home on April 4, 2012 after a brave battle with cancer.
Jon was born in September 11, 1953 in Winnebage, MN.
Jon had worked in the field of Geothermal for over 30 years. He was currently employed by Central Pipe Mechanical for the past 5 years as a heavy equipment operator and was well known for his skills as a Crane Operator. For many years he also worked a second job as a Beekeeper for H.B. Honey. Jon enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved fishing. Most of all, he loved and adored his children and grandchildren. Jon will be missed by many.
Jon is preceded in death by his father, Alan Hill and mother, Juanita Hill.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of thirty years.
Jon was the father of 9 children; daughters, Lela Majors, Jami Hill, Jessica Hanson, Jasmine Winters, Ariana Winters; sons Michael Porter, Terry Porter, Chris Porter and Eric Winters; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Fred Hill, Jerry Hill, Alan Hill and Mark Hill.
A celebration of Jon's life will be held at Western Avenue Baptist Church at 555 North Western Avenue in Brawely on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 10 a.m.

My sincerest condolences to entire Hill family. Jon and I worked together in the early days of geothermal and I found jon to be a great man who was proud of his family and loved them all deeply.His quite witty was always pronounced as well as his willingness to learn. Go in peace my friend.

I had the pleasure of working with jon for close to 10 yrs at the power plants.We spent a lot of time working side by side.We enjoyed many rides home that i will never forget.I love him for being my father and always will .I truly and going to miss him and will never look at the salton sea or imperial valley with out thinking of him.

I am very sorry to hear of Jon's passing.
There are so many heartwarming and funny stories from HB Honey. Harold and my sons always had me laughing as they would imitate Jon working those bees and catching those fish! From my family to yours, we hold you in our prayers.
