KENNETH (ROD) ROYSTON RODDEN

July 8, 1922 - Nov. 13, 2007


Kenneth Rodden, 85, of El Centro passed away of natural causes Tuesday, November 13.
He was born July 8, 1922 in Panama, OK where he attended and gradauted high school. After graduation, Kenneth served in the US Navy and in 1955 he moved to the Imperial Valley where he later met and married Rose M. Proo on August 22, 1958.
Kenneth was employed as a heavy equipment hauler by the IID for 40 years and was a member of the Sheriff Posse for several years as well as the Moose Lodge 1033.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 17 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Frye Chapel in El Centro.
Services will commence at 10 a.m. with Jerry Godsey officiating. Following services, burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, also in El Centro.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Meryle Rodden; sons, John Richard Proo and James Martin Proo; granddaughter, Tina Marie Proo; brothers, Oscar, Truman and Frank Rodden and sister, Ruby Willis.
Kenneth is survived by his son and daughter-in- law, Henry and Theresa Proo; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Jeff Holt; son, Frank O. Rodden; grandchildren, Russell Proo, Cameo Evangelist, Rosie Proo, Max Proo, Tanner Holt and Trevor Holt; 1 great-granddaughter, Kayla Evangelist; nieces Barbara Ennis and Linda and Joe Soloman and family friend, Karen Wacaser.

Beth i am so sorry for the loss of your dad. You must take comfort in knowing and believing that he is in a far better place now. Do not grieve his passing, but remember his life.
