LILLIE L. FARRELL

1925 - 2018

Delta resident, Lillie L. Farrell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta, Colorado. She was 92 years old. Upon Lillie's request, no services will be held at this time. Lillie Lee Peters was born November 11, 1925 to Edward McLaughlin and Lillie (Brown) Peters in Oakland, California. She spent her childhood and attended schools in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1942. On August 18, 1945, Lillie married the love of her life, Robert Wesley Farrell in Flagstaff. To this union three children were born. The couple shared 56 years together residing in Brawley, California before Robert passed away in October of 2001. After Robert passed away Lillie moved to Midland, Texas to be close to her daughter Norma Kelly, where she spent 16 years before moving to Delta, Colorado in October 2017. Lillie was a member of Midland First United Methodist Church in Midland, Texas for the 16 years she had lived there. She enjoyed playing bingo, poker, gambling in Las Vegas, jewelry, shopping, traveling, but most of all spending time with her beloved family and friends. Lillie is survived by her son, Charlie Farrell and his wife Jan Blue of Cedaredge, CO; six grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and one great- great-grandchild due in April 2019. Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ronnie Farrell and daughter, Norma Kelly. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
