LUCINDA "LUCY" FLORES

1960 - 2021

Lucy Flores, 60, passed away on February 9, 2021 in Brawley, CA after a vigorous battle with COVID-19. She grew up in Calipatria, CA with her siblings, attending Calipatria High School. Lucy had 3 remarkable children, Angel Tito, Angelica Rose and Andrew Araujo whom she loved and treasured. She also raised her 3 nieces, Rose Nuez, Sandra Flores and Michelle Crooks. She always welcomed all of her family and friends with open arms. Lucy was known for always smiling, laughing and saying something silly to make whomever she spoke to smile or laugh as well. You could always find her enjoying the company of one of her grandchildren; She loved them all dearly. Lucy was an admiration to all of us for always doing all she could to help her family in any way. She was always selfless to ensure everyone was taken care of. Lucy is going to be missed so very much by all who knew her. Welcoming her into heaven will be her beloved son, Angel Tito Araujo, her father Manuel Flores, mother Rosemarie Martinez, her brothers Johnny "Chacho" Martinez and Carlos Carrillo Jr., sister Tomasa "Tammy" Flores, along with her nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. Lucys celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary, 799 Brawley Ave, Brawley, Ca 92227. She is survived by her daughter, Angelica Rose Araujo, son, Andrew Araujo, grandchildren, A. Isaac Araujo, Destinee Molina, Alexa Fernandez, Adrian Alvarado, Madelynn "Maddie" Alvarado, Jewel Lisa Araujo, Andriah Araujo, Jianney Araujo, and Josiah Araujo, sisters, Candelaria Paz Carrillo, Mercy Becerra, Carol Flores and Sylvia Becerra, brothers, Manuel Flores and Edgar Flores, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
