MARY GUILLEN Obituary
Mary Helen Guillen, 68, of Brawley passed away following a sudden illness on Saturday, March 5 surrounded by her spouse and children. God opened His arms and carried her away to Heaven. She was born September 18, 1947 in Modesto, CA and was married to John H. Guillen Jr. on June 28, 1974 in El Centro. Mary Helen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who loved her family very much. Her happiest moments were when she was surrounded by her family. We will miss you Momma! Vistiation will take place Saturday, March 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley. Memorial Mass, officiated by Father Bernardo Lara, will follow at St. Margaret Mary Church at 1 p.m. Burial will be private. She was preceded in death by her mother, Diega Leon; father, Sotero Leon; sisters, Genieve Aguilera, Lorenza Leon, and Isabel Morales; brothers, Dolores Garcia, Jose Leon, and Arnold Leon Mary Helen is survived by her husband, John H. Guillen Jr.; sons, Raymond Lancaster, John Guillen III, Paul Guillen, Michael Guillen, and Luis Maldonado; daughter, Elizabeth Leon; 3 grandchildren, John Ethan Guillen, Nathan Lancaster, and Michael Gavin Guillen; siblings, Eleanor Salgado, Rosa Sandoval, Juan Leon, Felipe Leon, and Salvador Leon.

Dear Miss Mary,
The world is going to be a little less colorful and it will miss your laughter. I remember nothing but beautiful times with a woman who said it like she had to. A woman who was kind and loved her Family. I thank the Lord for letting me have the pleasure of meeting you on this Earth. Until we meet again! Till then. Make your Creator laugh like you did us... as that was your gift! I love you Miss Mary! For your kindness and loving nature toward me. For allowing me to share in some great memorable moments.
