MERCEDES HOLGUIN
Oct. 4, 1923 - Mar. 15, 2011
Mercedes Holguin, 88, of El Centro passed away March 15, 2011.
She was born October 4, 1923 in Casa Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico and was later married to Pete Holguin on December 24, 1950 in Chihuahua, Mexico. Mercedes was very actively involved with the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in El Centro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Holguin in 1993.
Visitation and rosary will be held Wednesday, March 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro. Mass will be Thursday, March 24 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mercedes is survived by her sons, Cesar, Ruben and Pete Holguin; daughter, Josie Lizarraga all of El Centro; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
