PATRICIA WEAVER Obituary

PATRICIA DEAN WEAVER

Sept. 11, 1935 – June 18, 2025

Pat was born in Denton, Texas, to Reece and Louise Wilson, the second of four daughters. Her early years were spent on the farm. At age 7, the family packed up and headed west to California, landing in the farming community of Imperial Valley and making Holtville their home.

Pat married Richard Gene Weaver (of El Centro) in 1954. They purchased their first home and raised three children in Escondido, when there were more cows than people.

Pat moved between Escondido and Holtville several times during her life. She was the primary caregiver to her husband and her mother. Pat reconnected with an old friend, Keith George of Nebraska (originally from Escondido) and after losing their individual spouses, their lifelong friendship blossomed into a loving relationship.

Pat worked for the Holtville Postal Service and various other jobs. She could sing and she loved to dance (well known for doing the splits). She also enjoyed gardening, but the unwavering passion of her life was the love of family!

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father and her sister, Peggy Jones of Lubbock, TX.

She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Hoyt and Judy Santistevan (both of Holtville); her children, Deb Weir (Joe Bunn), Rick Weaver (Maria), and Scott Weaver; her grandchildren, Marissa Weir Cardillo (Joe), Rob Weir (Chrissy), Michael Weir (Lexi), and Matt Weir; and her great-grandchildren, Jack, Hadley, June, Dean, Presley, and Joseph; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was loved deeply. A Celebration of Life will be held on what would have been her 90th birthday in Escondido.
