PETE SANCHEZ Obituary
Pete Sanchez Jr., age 81, of El Centro passed away on November 4, 2016. He was born in Heber, CA. He went on to graduate from Imperial High School in 1954, where he played Varsity football. After high school, Pete joined The Air Force, and later married his former wife Martina. Pete retired from Kuhn Land Leveling as a Heavy Equipment Operator and retired in 1997. Sanchez is perceived as an honest and hardworking man by the six children he raised. He consistently instilled in them to value and take pride in whatever they attempted. He is survived by his sons; Pete III, Thomas and Manual (Sonia) of Chula Vista and Martin of Imperial; daughters, Rosario of Chula Vista and Carmina (Gene) of Menifee; former daughter-in-law, Martha, brothers; Albert (Gerrie), Eddie (Mary) and Richard (Linda); sisters, Josie (Robert), Elvira and Tootsie; grandchildren, Manny, Pete IV, Maya, Lydia, Briana and Savannah. Pete Jr. truly loved all of his children and grandchildren; he enjoyed spending time with them as often as he could. He especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play in competitive sports. All who knew and loved him will miss him dearly. Visitation and Service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hems Mortuary in El Centro. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.
