Procopio Aragon, 93, of Holtville passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 of natural causes and was surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born August 4, 1920 in Los Remedios Durango, MX. and was married to Isabel Aragon for 67 years. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather. He was a bee keeper for many years. He will always be remembered by people who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel; sons, Magdaleno and Jose; daughters, Caritina and Lupita.
He is survived by his sons, Pablo (Chayo) Rivera, Varo, Luis (Angela); daughters, Joaquia, Leonor (Oscar) Trujillo and Patty (Martin) Garcia; grandchildren, Alfonso, Lourdes, Ernie, Lucy, Bon, Claudia, John Paul, Anthony, Lidia, Antonio, Deisy, Chela, Martin, Bau, Melissa, Oscar, Nathan, Cameron, Cassandra and Amarissa; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro. Service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 9 a.m. at St. Josephs Church in Holtville. Burial will immediately follow at Terrace Park Cemetery in Holtville.
Special thank to Clinicas De Salud in Calexico, Dr. Donnely, (Keri) Gentiva will always be remembered for his sense of humor.
