RAY MOLINA Obituary

RAY "CHILIN" M. MOLINA

June 24, 1947 – Dec. 24, 2024

Ray Chilin M. Molina, 77, was sent to his eternal home on December 24, 2024, in Rohnert Park, Sonoma, CA. He was born on June 24, 1947, in El Centro, CA to the late Ramon Montes Molina and Cruz Mejias. As a child he attended local schools and later worked for and retired from McBeth Construction.

Chilin, as he was affectionately known, was always able to bring comfort to those around him, often one of the first ones to crack a joke in the most inopportune time. We will always remember him that way, making us smile and laugh through tears. He was a constant in our lives, whether it be in person, sharing stories over a cup (or a few, in his case) of black coffee or through a text or phone call. He loved spending time with family, reminiscing over the "old days" and listening to our current adventures. He was a skilled woodworker, often making wood clocks, amongst other things, for his family and loved ones, if you were lucky enough to get one. Our lives were better because you were in it; memories of your warmth will linger through us forever.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cruz Molina; father, Ramon Montes Molina; brother, Adolfo M. Molina; and sister, Irene Mallobox Sandoval.

Ray is survived by his son, Steven Molina; siblings, Sylvia Sims, Rachel Miranda, Hilda Huerta, and Yvonne Molina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Please join us in laying him to rest. Graveside services will be held on March 7, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA, at 9 a.m.
