The words I said for my son
Robert,
The eldest of our three children. The jolliest, happiest, most adventuresome of all.
From birth life was a wonder, everything was an adventure- We never knew when he came in what would be in his pockets. A bug? A frog? Or a slimy worm?! He was our perpetual Dennis the menace. Kind, warm, loving but mischief always about.
As a man he never outgrew that sense of playfulness or wonder. But life and the war took its toll on his innocence. He never lost his love for others or wanting to be there for everyone.
The stories that have been shared of his kindness, love, generosity with others, and willingness to put others first have been an inspiration and comfort to our family.
This morning I read that the hardest commandment is to “love your neighbor as yourself” This was not hard for Robert.
That was who he was. So we follow in his footsteps, we demonstrate our love to others with a kind word, a helping hand, and a prayer for salvation.
We will never forget.

I only knew him for a short time, but he really impressed me with how much he loved his family and his work. He was also so dedicated to a life of service; he never did it just for the accolades. Robert and his work were truly exceptional and will be greatly missed. I send my sincere condolences to his family.

my sincere condolences to the parents and son of Roberto, this gentleman was the most liked in our office, always happy showing pictures of when his daughter was born, so happy! To me he was Roberto, whenever he came into our office he made sure to go give me a hug and I would kiss him on the cheek, I loved this boy and it hurts me so very much to have lost him, Rest In Peace, Roberto!!

Robert was my soldier through out his military career, we deployed multiple times in combat. Even though I continued my military career and he ended his, we kept in contact. It was just last month I called to check up on him. I'm in disbelief I can't believe God took him so young. My deepest condolences goes out to his wife, children and parents. Rip Bobby....

Meeting Robert Robbins was a blessing always smiling and laughing. We started as friends and ended up being a family towards the end by him marrying my cousin Vanessa Robbins. My cousin loved him dearly til the very last. I still remember the time they started dating. Haha It was such an adventure. My cousin talking about him all the time haha boy he had her fall over heels. I giving her advice because she would go crazy if he took forever of texting haha, and how I can forget advising Robert as well because he wanted to win over my beautiful cousins ❤ heart. The day you guys got married I remember it was the happiest day of your guys life. Full of smiles and laughs. It was such a blessing and beautiful to see both of you begin a new journey of your love life. You will dearly be miss in our family gatherings always smiling from distance and waving at me with a big smile. Thank you for these memories, for loving my cousin and bringing three wonderful children in this world.

My memory of Robert is him very young, sitting on Bryan's shoulders calling Mrs. Hess "Uncle Dee". She loved that! I have no doubt "Uncle Dee" was there to welcome him into heaven. My prayers and love are with all of you.

Robert is and will always be one of the best people in my life. He made me laugh constantly and our humor and interests lined up. We had many adventures together as kids that I still remember vividly to this day. We watched movies together and played Mike Tyson's Punchout and Contra, and we played handball with Bryan several times in Imperial Beach. I will truly mourn his loss but will always carry his memory with me. For his family and children, my condolences and love for you in this time of heartbreak and sorrow.
