RONALD K. ASAMEN

Larger than life, Ronnie was born without a shy bone in his body. Outgoing and gregarious, he lived his life at full speed. He was an outstanding high school athlete in both football and wrestling and was voted most athletic by his graduating class.

Ron went to work at the Brawley Branch of Bank of America soon after graduating high school. He then followed that up with a long career at UPS, rising to a management position before retiring in 2018.

Somewhere along his path he discovered the game of golf and this became a passion in his life. He accumulated a massive amount of clubs, bags and friends along the way. If you were fortunate enough to become a friend, you were a friend for life and could expect phone calls, visits and help if needed any time of the day or night.

While employed as a loan officer at Bank of America Brawley branch Ron met and then married the love of his life, Terry (Terrazas) Asamen in November 1980-they would have celebrated 45 years of marriage in November. To this union were born two daughters, Andrea Hisa and Alexis Joelle, who along with brother, Edward completed their family.

Ron is survived by his wife, Terry; children, Andrea "Andi" Gay (Jimmy), Alexis "Ajay" Caserta (Josh), and Edward Asamen; and godson, Mark J. Myers. Additionally, Ron & Terry have been blessed by their grandchildren, Gus, Brody, J.T., Byron, and Charlee. Ron is also survived by his mother, Hisa Layman; sister, Diana Williamson (Don); and brother, Benny.

Ron's light burned brightly while he was with us, he will be remembered and missed.
