Rudy Vasquez, 66, of Calexico passed away in his home of natural causes.
Rudy was a hard working man. He loved spending time in Mexicali with his children and grandchildren. Rudy spent the majority of his life working as a farm laborer. He had many friends and liked spending time with them. He loved watching football all day on Sundays.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Armenta Vasquez, father, Aristeo Vasquez and brothers, David and Tony Vasquez.
Rudy is survived by his daughter, Yarabi Vasquez de Rodrigues and husband Jose Ramon Rodrigues Castaneda of Mexicali; daughter, Monzerrat Vasquez de Torres and husband Francisco Torres; son, Rudy Vasquez Jr.; sister, Martha Mahmoud and her husband Ahmad Mahmoud of Riverside Ca; brother, Jesse Vasquez of Fresno Ca; brother, Benny Vasquez of San Diego; brother, Lorenzo Armenta Miranda of Calexico; sister, Ruth Vasquez Duarte and husband George P. Duarte of Brawley Ca; and 4 grandchildren; Cortez Family of Fresno and Garcia Family of Mexicali and Coachella.
Viewing will be held on January 7, 2022 at 9 a.m. At Hems Brothers Mortuary in Calexico. Burial to follow at 11:30 at Mt. View Cemetery in Calexico.

My condolences to the entire family. Rudy (Chester) was like family to us. As kids always with my brother playing football on 4th street, then in the 70s practicing his kung fu skills and his disco dancing moves in Calexico and Mexicali. May he rest and peace and continue partying in heaven with my brother.

I remember Rudy (Chester) when we were kids living on Lincoln St in Calexico. May God rest his soul. Peace be with you all.
