Sharon Lea Jay, 83, of Imperial passed away on April 7, 2022 of natural causes. She was born on November 22, 1938 in Louisville, KY.

She was a lifetime member of the California Scholarship Federation, Chapter 474, due to her consistent and superior Scholarship and service. She was an executive secretary for many companies including Rohr Industries, Dow Chemical and Tim LaHaye Ministries. She was part owner of The Jabberwocky and The Plush Place both located in El Centro.

She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Stalnaker; grandson, Cadence Long; sister, Audrey Stalnaker; parents, Herbert and Lorena Jay.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Lori Lewis (David); grandchildren, Kristy, Adam (Nicole), Jillian, Dalton and Blake; daughter in law, Laura Stalnaker; grandchildren Shauna, Melissa, Ashley and Terron; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and very close friends.

The family suggest memorials to CASA of Imperial County.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 7, 2022 at 11 am at Calvary Chapel in El Centro.
