Thomas N. Bisi passed away peacefully on September 23, 2022 on the feast day of St. Padre Poi due to pneumonia at the age of 94. He was born in El Centro, CA to Swiss Italian and German immigrants in 1928.

As a young boy he worked, delivering the newspaper for the I.V. Press and later delivering telegrams for Western Union. He worked with his father throughout the dairies of the valley. He was a Central Spartan, class of '48 and had fond memories especially Friday night football games, where he oversaw the candy stand. He learned welding which landed him a job as a crewman for the So Ca Gas Co at age 19. Thomas married his wife Teresa Bisi in '61, had 4 children and later adopted 3. He retired after 42 years with the So Ca Gas Co. He enjoyed his retirement with his family, working outdoors, and cultivating his mind through reading, math, and listening to music of his era. He had a good sense of humor, interesting conversations, and was a joy to speak with.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Bisi.; children, John Bisi (Angelina), Maria Bisi, Sam Bisi, Cecilia Villasenor (Joseph); grandchildren, Angela, Valarie, Sam Jr., and John; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Olivia, Michael, and Angel. We will miss him dearly.

Viewing will be on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 6-9 p.m. at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley, CA with Rosary reading at 7 p.m. Mass will be on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in El Centro, CA. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA.
