VICKI LYNN RUTHERFORD HULL

1947 - 2021

Beloved mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend Vicki Lynn Rutherford Hull passed away at home in Eugene, Oregon to be with the Lord on January 21, 2021. She was 73 years old and an independent woman. Vicki was the middle child of Walter and Lillian Rutherford of Brawley, California. Her family was a cornerstone cattle ranching family of Imperial Valley, California. She attended college in San Diego and graduated from California Western University of Point Loma in 1969. She started her teaching career at Del Mar Heights California teaching 1st grade. In 1974 Vicki married Alan Hull and had 2 children during their marriage (1974-2000), Alana Hull currently in Eugene, Oregon and Brian Hull. Vicki lived in Los Angeles for about 20 years when she had her children. Manhattan Beach Community Church and Westwood Presbyterian Church were her locations of worship. In 1994 she relocated to Oregon with her family. Vicki ended her teaching career after many years teaching 2nd grade at Willamette Christian School in Eugene, Oregon. Overall she was an elementary school teacher for over 40 years. Besides teaching, her other greatest accomplishment was her 2 children, Alana and Brian. She devoted her time and energy to her own children and teaching those of others. Vicki was a true Christian woman, learning the Lord and studying the Bible. She attended First Baptist Church in Eugene. Often times she would also attend service at Willamette Christian Church. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillian Rutherford; her brother, Michael Rutherford; and her sister, Kristi Rutherford McWilliams. Vicki is survived by her daughter, Alana Hull; her son, Brian Hull; 5 grandchildren, Cruz and Althea Diehl by her daughter, and 3 other grandchildren by her son; brother-in-law, Chris McWilliams; sister-in-law, Leslie Rutherford; niece, Cindy Rutherford Rathbun; nephew, Eric Rutherford; several cousins, many great nieces and nephews. In lieu of her passing, flowers and cards can be sent to 1833 Kingsley Rd Eugene, OR 97401 for her family. In addition, donations can be made in her name for her grandchildren Cruz and Althea at Unity School at 580 N Garden Way Eugene,Oregon 97401.
