Jimmy Wilson Obituary
Funeral Service was 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will received friends 3-5:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Brandon Mercer officiated. Pallbearers include Robert Kincaid, Michael Kincaid, Randy Wilson, Darrell Wilson, Dusty Wilson, and Chris Hall. Honorary pallbearers include Charlie Gamble, Jonathan Shockey, Matthew Shockey, and Paxton Shockey.
Jimmy was born November 26th, 1945 to Doyle and Ethel Mae (Biggers) Wilson. He was united in marriage June 29th, 1973 to Viola Faye Hale at Immanuel Baptist Church in Decatur, Texas. They were married 45 years before her passing in 2019.
Jimmy served in United States Air Force 1965-1969, as an aircraft control radar repairman. Serving in the Korean War and Japan 1968, and was a member of the Air Force Aid Society.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Wilson; his parents, Doyle and Ethel Wilson; his brothers, Jerry, Leon and Lloyd Wilson; and a sister, Margaret Hall.
Left to cherish his name is his daughter, Pennye Shockey and husband Ronnie of Perrin, Russell Dunlap and wife Lisa of Joplin; his grandchildren, Jonathan Shockey and wife Emily of Shallowater, and Matthew Shockey and wife Cassie of Springtown; Chais, Savanna, and Kalista Dunlap of Joplin; great-grandchildren, Paxton & Maddison Shockey; his brother, Tommy Wilson and wife Neva of Perrin; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.

Jimmy was always so caring and always tried to make people laugh. I will always remember his tight hugs and his voice saying, "I love you" any chance I get. I will forever miss you, friend.
