Mary Garner Obituary
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at The First Baptist Church in Jacksboro, Texas. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Mary Sue married the love of her life, William Robert "Billy Bob" Garner, on May 1, 1953, in Jacksboro, Texas. Together, they raised their four children, Monte, Cindy, Holly, and Kelly. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jacksboro, Texas, before moving to Abilene, Texas. She then became a member of the First Baptist Church of Abilene. Mary Sue loved volunteering with her husband to deliver Meals on Wheels to the Jacksboro community and was also a member of the JHS Ex Student Association. Above all, Mary Sue loved spending time with her family and friends.
Mary Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bob Garner; her son, Monte Garner; her parents; and her siblings, Idell Hawkins and Bill Hutto.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children, Cindy Richmond and husband Jim, Holly Garner and husband Fred Willoughby, Kelly Garner and wife Virginia; daughter-in-law, Linda Garner; grandchildren, Kris Richmond, Jordan Richmond (Rebecca), Hunter Garner, Hayley Webb (Bradley), Sean Willoughby (Jessica Xiao), Drew Willoughby (Madison), Ryan Willoughby, Zadie Sonier (Joshua), and Zoey Garner (Reyes Fuentes); great grandchildren, Bennett, Adelyn, Brooks, Hogan, Davis, Skyler, Layton, Kenson, and Kamryn; along with many other extended family and friends.
