Phyllis McCoy Obituary
A visitation will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro, Texas. Funeral services will follow beginning at 2 PM. Burial will take place at Mountain Home Cemetery.
Phyllis was baptized at the age of 14 in Loving, Texas, and attended Graham High School. She later married Joe McCoy on March 31, 1972, in Graham, Texas. Together they made their home in Jacksboro, Texas, and ran McCoy Dozer. Phyllis was a master cook, gardener, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Betty Ford, Patsy Knight, James Parker, Janie Gardner, and Charles Parker; mother and father-in-law, Joseph Claude McCoy Sr. and Christine McCoy Kidwell.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Joe McCoy; children, Patty Sherrin and husband Derrell, Joey Woolery, Benny Joe McCoy, James Michael McCoy, Misti McCoy and Robbie Wardrup; grandchildren, Nikki, Tyler, Steven, Kylie, Katie, Emily, Jacob, Alyssa, Jolynn, and Hanna; great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Kynzee, Karter, Karsyn, Mason, Harper, Kace, Colton, Ady and Parker; siblings, Louise Love, Linda Johnson, and Ricky Parker; along with many extended family and friends
