Daniel Mandreger Obituary

Born on March 9, 1953, passed suddenly on Monday, September 15, 2025 in the presence of his family. Dan was born to Steven A. and Martha G. Mandreger in Jackson, Michigan.
On November 20, 1982 he married the love of his life, Elaine M. Mandreger. Dan is survived by Elaine; fur baby Amanda; his three brothers in law, Timothy Woltmann of Rives Junction, Steven Woltmann of Kissimmee, FL, and David (Mickie) Woltmann of Jackson and her children Shelby and Andrew; along with numerous dear friends and family members. Dan was preceded in death by his parents along with Elaine's parents, Richard and Mary Woltmann and sister in law, Susan Woltmann.
Dan loved his cars throughout his life. He owned a Corvette (unfortunately, not the 1963 split window as he dreamed), Impala(s), Chevelle(s), GTO, Camaro, and numerous Trans Ams. Later in life, he was content with driving his Silverado Pick Up truck.
Dan loved all his Scottie Dogs and treated each one as a person with love, tenderness and compassion in their lifetimes. They were all his fur babies, Buffy, Katie, Carly, Uma, Aimee and Kyra.
Dan was a devoted Catholic his entire life. You could always find Dan and Elaine at the 7:30 AM Sunday Mass at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church sitting in the 2nd pew from the front on the Virgin Mary side.
Dan loved to travel (especially Glen Arbor, Traverse City and Las Vegas), spending time at home with Elaine and Amanda, enjoyed watching NHRA Drag Races (in person or on tv), listening and singing along to classic 70's rock songs, going to concerts, University of Michigan football and car restoration shows.
Dan graduated from Northwest High School in 1971, from there he went to GMI in Flint, JCC before going to the University of Michigan where he graduated with an Electrical Engineering Degree holding a 3.9 GPA in 1976.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Robert Pienta officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dan's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Children Hospital or Leader Dogs for the Blind would be so greatly appreciated.
