December 10, 2024

I had the delight of helping take care of Ron during my years at his residence. I anticipated getting to work because Ron always had a witty comment that would crack me up.

I used to approach him, say his name, and ask him the tongue-twister, "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck..." He gave me a different answer EVERY time :-) My favorite answer from him was "He wouldn't cuz I'd take my rifle and (demonstrating) go 'Pew! Pew!'" (poor wood chuck). It became tradition for me to come to work and ask him that question. After a few weeks, he got used to it. I would then come to work, say his name, and before I could even start the question, he would point at me with a big grin and chuckle cuz he knew what was coming.

Ron, it was a pleasure to know you. Thanks for the laughter.
