Franklin Rosser Obituary

Mr. Ricky Rosser, age 78, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025.

Ricky was born on Friday, February 21, 1947, in Jackson, Georgia to the late Frank Smith Rosser and the late Annie Lou Meredith Rosser. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Henry Rosser; and sister, Mary Crider. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and was a two-way radio enthusiast. Ricky played bass guitar for several bands, among those were Southern Traditions, Southern Freight, Dixie Highway, and Justus4. He retired from Georgia Department of Transportation, and also worked at the William Carter Company in Barnesville, Carters in Griffin, Snapper, and Cardinal Health in McDonough. He will be deeply missed.

Ricky is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Elton and Mackenzie Rosser; daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Jeremy Bryan; grandchildren, David Soriano, Madaline Harnist; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Ricky Rosser will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
