Alice Witt Obituary

Mrs. Alice Pendergrass Witt 91 a long-time resident of Medina died Friday February 11 2005 while a resident of Forest Cove Nursing Center in Jackson. Mrs. Witt was born in Crockett County in 1913 daughter of the late J.W. and Martha Bird Pendergrass. Until her lengthy illness she was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Medina and also The Order of Eastern Star as well as a participant in many varied civic activities and functions. She was a loving wife mother grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Witt was preceded in death by her husband Caleb Henry Witt. She leaves behind a daughter Pam Finney and son-in-law Paul Finney; a son Caleb H. Witt III; a grandson Luke Finney and his wife Summer; two great-grandsons Bray and Jack; three sisters Della Neal of Memphis Geraldine Gooch of St. Louis MO and Joyce Elkins of Jackson TN. Pallbearers to serve are Rodney Allen John Boswell Luke Finney Walker Graves Charles King and Jeff Parrish. The family requests memorials be given to the Medina First United Methodist Church Building Fund. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Monday February 14 2005 in the Chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Reverend Hiram Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m today at the funeral home. Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home 731-783-3026
