Billy Blow Obituary

Mr. Billy Clifton Blow, age 84, of McLemoresville, TN, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Dilday - Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the McLemoresville Cemetery. Rev. Mike Johnson and Rev. Johnny Way will officiate the services.

Mr. Blow was born March 30, 1926, in LaTonia, KY, to the late William Grady Blow and Calantha Sunshine (Gentry) Blow. He was a 40 year member and Deacon of the Milan First Assembly of God Church and former Mayor of McLemoresville. He graduated from the Cumberland School of Law having served as the Assistant District Attorny for the 24th (formerly the 22nd) Judicial District for the State of Tennessee. He also served in the 105th Division of the United States Navy SeaBees during World War II.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Annie Frances Blow; two brothers, Hansel Blow and Freddie Blow.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha JoAnn Blow; two sons, Charles (Laura) Blow, of Bartlett, TN, Steven (Elizabeth) Blow, of Cedar Grove, TN; four daughters, Cindy (Johnny) Way, of Gadsden, TN, Corinne Massey, of McLemoresville, TN, Janna (Mike) Johnson, of Medina, TN, Valerie Hatch, of Huntingdon, TN, and a brother, Harold (Sue) Blow, of McLemoresville, TN. He also leaves sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. till time of services.
