Charles Taggart Obituary

Charles Ray Taggart age 69 died Tuesday March 14 2006 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born August 27 1936 in Memphis to the late Perry Simon and Velma Carmelia Miller Taggart. He was a graduate of the Memphis City Schools and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1953. He lived in Los Angeles CA and retired from the Dept. of Defense in 1989 and moved to Monroe County MS. He will be fondly remembered for his jovial spirit his love for his people and his love for his Saviour. He was extremely outgoing and was always quick with a good story and cordial conversation. He was a member of the Grace Chapel Baptist Church. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday March 17 2006 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. John Parker officiating. Burial will be in the Young Memorial Gardens in Smithville. Survivors include his wife of 40 years Jonell Sullivan Taggart of Aberdeen; four sons Joseph R. Taggart and his wife Kendra of Jackson TN Michael Roberts and his wife Ann of Amory MS Mark Roberts and his wife Julie of Valencia CA Kenny Roberts and his wife Sandra of Hamilton MS; one daughter Carmen Floied of Tupelo MS; six grandchildren; and one grandson Samuel Clayton Taggart. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. Thursday night at the funeral home in Amory. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home 662-256-2644
