Dennis Hobson Obituary

On Monday 26 September 2005 at 2 am Dennis L. Hobson 51 of Springville TN passed away after a brave 2 year battle with cancer. He left peacefully surrounded with the love and prayers of so many family and friends. He leaves behind a loving wife Deborah S. Cummings Hobson; 3 loving children Marcy A. Hobson and husband Robert C. Vallery of Wiesbaden Germany Denny L. and wife Amanda G. Hobson of Paris TN Mindy J. Hobson and husband Joseph E. Stricker of Paris TN; 7 adoring grandchildren Briana and Abigail Hobson of Paris TN Reagan and Dennis Carter Vallery of Wiesbaden Germany Joseph Emory Stricker of Paris TN Luke and Emily Vallery of Ripley TN. He also leaves a loving mother Norma J. Kessler Hobson of Stewardson IL and a loving sister Judy E. Hobson and husband Dave Tabbert of Stewardson IL 13 nieces and nephews 12 great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Emory Hobson and granddaughter Marci Lynn Stricker. Dennis retired this April after 30 years with Yellow Freight he worked in Effingham IL Indianapolis IN Paris TN and Jackson TN. He was also a member of Amvets. He enjoyed fishing woodworking and playing with the grandchildren. The service will be held Friday September 30 at 3:30 pm at LeDon Chapel with Rev. Larry Dukes and Rev. Denny L. Hobson officiating. Visitation will be Friday September 30 from 4 pm until 7 pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a charity of your choice. Ridgeway Funeral Home 731-642-2121
