Hunter Hodge Obituary

Hunter Brian Hodge

Hunter Brian Hodge was born January 19th, 1977 at Jackson General Hospital. He graduated from Jackson Central Merry in 1995.

Hunter left this world on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012 at his home in Jackson, TN.

Growing up, Hunter played every sport he could, soccer, basketball, football and his favorite, Little League baseball. He played on all-star baseball teams and with traveling teams. He had a love for music and had several guitars that he enjoyed playing.

Hunter was an internet entrepreneur. He spent hours in front of his computer as he created and operated many websites.

He loved to travel and had visited many countries with his family and with people he met around the world due to his internet business.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Glenda Tapp Hodge of Jackson; a brother, Harrison Tapp Hodge and wife Dana Byrd Hodge of Jackson, and a father, David B. Hodge (Cindy) of Jackson, and his beloved cat, Tiger. He leaves grandmothers, Idell C. Tapp and the late G. L. (Von) Tapp, and Doris P. Hodge and the late George W. (Bill) Hodge, all of Jackson.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 15th at 4 p.m., at the George A Smith & Son's North Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. on Saturday until the time of service.

George A. Smith & Sons North Chapel, (731) 427-5555.

Yesterday

Just got an email from Legacy about remembering you. I think about and miss you every single day, Hunter. It has been 13 long years without you. I see new things, hear new things, new technology happens and I know you would love to see, hear and know about. I miss hearing you play your guitars. I hear songs you played and tear up, sometimes causing a full blown crying session. I know you are in a better place but you were just gone too soon. I love you, Buddy. Mom

It is coming up on 9 years that you left me. I was reading through your memory book, from then, and found so many heartfelt messages. I still miss you every minute of every hour of everyday. So much of life you have missed and it hurts! I pray you are at peace now and can't wait until the day I can hug you again. Love, Mom

Glenda,
My sadness is overwhelming for you and your beautiful family. I didn't know Brian personally; however, I know how much you loved him and what a wonderful young man he was. I hope that you will stay strong and depend on God to give you your daily strength. Much love,
