Funeral services for Mrs. Jamie Faye Benfield, age 73, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Truman Benfield officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Benfield died Monday, July 29, 2013 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

She was born in Ripley, MS to the late James Turner and Johnie White Turner. Mrs. Benfield was the bookkeeper for Jackson Auto Upholstery and a member of Gospel Assembly Church. She was married to Cletus Isaac Benfield on October 27, 1957.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jamie Faye Benfield; a sister, Zena Mae Ketchum; and her stepmother, Valeria Turner.

Surviving are her husband, Cletus Benfield of Jackson; her sons, Gene Benfield and wife, Debbie of Benton Harbor, MI and David Benfield and wife, Jennifer of Pinson; her daughters, Kathy Robertson and Luanne Broome and husband, Ronnie, all of Jackson, and Becky Wilmoth and husband, Kalvin of Pinson; two "adopted" daughters, Kim Benfield and husband, Jerry of Lakeland, TN and Sharon Boyd and husband, Terry of McComb, MS; her brothers, John Turner and James Turner, both of Mississippi; her sister-in-law, Juanita Benfield of Jackson; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home, (731) 424-2424
