Jimmy Caldwell

Jimmy Caldwell, age 49, of Lexington, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at his home.

He was born May 6, 1962 in Union City, TN to James and Charlotte Caldwell. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1980. In 1997, he started Kustom Vinyl Graphics and in October 2009 he sold the business due to his health. Jimmy was a member of First Baptist Church Lexington where he served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher in the youth department for 17 years and then as an adult teacher. He was also a member of the audio/sound committee. He loved to work with his hands especially wood working and making pens which he enjoyed giving away.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Leigh Ann (Deere) Caldwell; daughter, Allison (Barry) Matthews of Lexington; his parents, James and Charlotte Caldwell of Lakeland, Florida; two sisters, Sherry (Dan) Miller of Lexington and Kim (Steve) Pontius of Lakeland, Florida; inlaws David and Nancy Deere; brother-in-law, Neal (Kelli) Deere; 5 nieces; 1 nephew; 2 great nieces; 1 great nephew.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Lexington with Bro. Mike Adams and Bro. Tommy Crocker officiating. Burial will follow in the Parkers Crossroads Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 3 til 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. til time of service.

The family request memorials be made to the First Baptist Church; Kirkland Center; Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center; Unity Hospice; or the charity of the donor's choice.
