Mickey Basham Obituary
Bro. Mickey Leon Basham Sr., age 62 of Tiptonville, died October 29, 2013 at his home after a battle of several months with an aggressive form of cancer.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Union City Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Manuel Cemetery near Walnut Log.
The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the White-Ranson Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be made to Gideons International.
Bro. Basham had served as minister for several West Tennessee Baptist Churches. He was born July 3, 1951 in Obion County, son of the late George B. and Opal Christine (Carter) Basham. He married the former Linda Gale Batchelor, May 11, 1973. She survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Tiffany Gilbaugh and two sons Mickey L. Basham II, and David Paul Basham. Also a special friend, Mama Ruth Turnbow of Jackson, TN.

So sorry to hear of Brother Mickeys passing. I remember him and his young family at Beech Bluff when I ran the store next to the Baptist Church.

My sympathy in the homegoing of your loved one in Christ. Just found out through Josephine Beard that Mickey was a cousin of mine thru Aunt Lula Walker (grandson). I was Daisy Lee Walker Mays son (Mamie Walkers daughter) who preached some 35 yrs.in Arkansas and am now retired in Sherwood, Arkansas. Blessings < Bro. Charles L. Mays Sherwood, AR
