Rodney Batchelor Obituary
Jackson, TN - Services for Rodney Harrington Batchelor, age 44, will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1 p.m., at New St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Batchelor died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Jackson General Hospital.
Visitation for Mr. Batchelor will begin Friday morning from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m., at Mercer Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. The remains of Mr. Batchelor will lie-in-state at New St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of service.

There are no words to express the person Rodney was to any and all. I worked with Rodney and also knew him from the time he and my kids grew up with him. He always had a smile and a hug for me and would help out anyone. It makes me so sad to know I will never hear him laugh and get the big bear hug he always gave me. Rodney will be missed.

Jerome, Doll, Carl, and Fronz, I was so shocked and sadden to hear about Rodney (tear) everytime I think about Rodney I think about the time when we had a kick fight when we were kids, he constantly picked at me everytime we came down south to visit but as we got older we always knew that was his way of saying that he loved me and I loved him too he was one of the funniest cousins I have.
