Rose Gerhardt Obituary

Services for Rose Vinson Gerhardt 85 will be held at 2:00 pm Monday August 11 2003 from the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Stan Griffin officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Gerhardt died on Friday August 8 2003 in Knoxville TN. A native of Mercer TN she was born on May 31 1918 the daughter of the late Tolbert and Maggie Baker Vinson. Mrs. Gerhardt was married to Floyd W. Gerhardt Sr. who preceded her in death in December 2000. Mrs. Gerhardt was a homemaker and a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons Floyd W. Gerhardt Jr. and his wife Judy of Knoxville TN Gary A. Gerhardt and his wife Donna of Church Hill TN and Billy Gerhardt and his wife Clara of Woodstock GA; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Allene Lewis of Jackson. Pallbearers to serve will be Allen Gerhardt Chris Crowell Sonny Johnson Von Foster Jimmy Turner James Robert King and Erik Gerhardt. The family has requested that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association 2600 Poplar Ave. Suite 400 Memphis TN 38112 or to the First Baptist Church 202 East Main Blvd. Church Hill TN 37642. The family will be receiving friends on Monday August 11 2003 from 12:00 pm until the service time. Arrington Funeral Directors 148 W. University Parkway 731-668-1111
