International Pro-Wrestler Thomas (Tommy) Gilbert

Tommy Gilbert, of Lexington, TN passed away Thursday morning after a lengthy illness. He was 75 years old. He traveled all over the U. S. and internationally as a champion pro-wrestler. He held many, many championships during his long tenure.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Gilbert; his daughter, Kim Peters (Trent), of Baldwin, MS; his son, Doug Gilbert (Melissa), of Lexington; his brother, Bobby Gilbert (Evelyn), of Jackson; his grandsons, Casey & Cody (Hannah) Wood, his great grandchildren, Sydnie, Eddie and Stephanie.

He was predeceased by his son, Pro-Wrestler Eddie Gilbert, his parents, Arlie & Ruby Gilbert, and his mother and father-in-law, Margie & W. J. Davis.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 28th at 2 PM at Reed's Chapel in Lexington with burial to follow in Lexington Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday 4 PM - 9 PM and Saturday 9 AM until service.

Pallbearers serving will be Police Chief Roger Loftin, Asst. Chief Barry Roberts, Commander Jeff Middleton, David Stanhope, Robbie McCready and Josh Box.
