Wendell Avery Obituary
Alamo, TN - Funeral services for Mr. Wendell Holmes Avery, age 87, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Alamo, TN. Interment will follow at Alamo Cemetery.
Mr. Avery was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Kate Gorman Avery; four brothers, Gorman Avery, Wayne Avery, T.S. Avery and Hayden Avery.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Elaine Avery; sons, Michael H. Avery and wife Sandra, Kenneth J. Avery; sister, Ruth Frederick; grandchildren, Michael Avery, Jr., Lindy Avery, Brandon Avery, Tyler Avery, Kim Thompson, Rick Grabe and Jill Proctor; great grandchildren, Leah Avery, Kason Avery and Samuel Proctor; special friends, Jason, Michelle, Karly and Kloie Pigue.
Visitation for Mr. Avery will be held at First Baptist Church in Alamo on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 5-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or LeBonheur Children's Medical Center.
